A popular Nollywood actor, Femi Ogunrombi, is dead.

Also known as ‘Papa Ajasco’, Ogunrombi, passed away on Saturday, ROYAL NEWS has gathered.

He was known for his part in Wale Adenuga’s comedy series Papa Ajasco, was declared deceased by theater professional Shaibu Husseini.

Husseini provided only very vague information, but he did confirm that the veteran actor passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

“I have just received reliable information confirming the passing of Mr. Femi Ogunrombi, an ethnomusicologist, former music instructor with the National Troupe of Nigeria, and former stand-in for the ‘Papa Ajasco’ character on the well-known WAP Comic Series ‘Papa Ajasco.

He stated on his social media platforms, “I am told that the actor, singer, highlifist, and trained nurse whom we fondly dubbed ‘Uncle Ogurombo’ (not to his ears though) passed away last evening.

When the previous character, Abiodun Ayoyinka, left the show, Mr. Femi Ogunrombi took over and played Papa Ajasco for the duration of the role.
