
The newly sworn-in Permanent Secretary of Office of Head of service, Dr Olufunke Mercy Shittu has advised the management staff of the office to be more prudent and proactive in their service delivery to the State.
The Permanent Secretary ealier appreciated Governor AbdulRazaq AbdulRaham for the lifetime opportunity bestowed on her to serve in the capacity of the Permanent Secretary of the Office, adding that she was overwhelmed by the kindness of the State Government, seeing this opportunity as clarion call to do more for service.
The Permanent Secretary gave the advice during her maiden meeting with the management of the office, held today at the Office Conference room in Ilorin, the State capital.
Dr Shittu in her words implored the staff to improve their working attitude and not always waìt for directive before playing their roles as indicated in their job specifications in schemes of Service.
according to her this will enhance decision making processes at the Management level.
“This is a call to do more for Service, nobody will help anybody to beat his/her drum.”
She promised to be more committed to the welfare of the civil servants in the state and also do her best for betterment of the civil service in the State.
Appreciating the Permanent Secretary, Director Administration and Finance, Mrs Florence Balogun who was also newly deployed to the office, said she is privileged to be part of the team who will help improve the service delivery for the progress of the present administration.
