Controller Tolorunshagba Femi Emmanuel as been appointed as the new Controller of Corrections, Kwara State Command.
ROYAL NEWS reports that the new Controller was approved on Friday, 15th August 2025 by the Controller General of Corrections, Slyvester Ndidi Nwakuche MFR, mni, according to a statement issued by the Command’s spokesman, SC Adegbulugbe Philip.
He noted that, “Tolorunshagba Femi Emmanuel, a graduate of the University of Ado Ekiti, took over the mantle of leadership on Monday, 25th of August, 2025, due to the deployment of the formèr Controller of Corrections, Famuwagun Oyeniran Enitan, who has just been promoted to the rank of an Assistant Controller General of Corrections, to the National Headquarters Office in Abuja.”
The new Controller hails from Kabba in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State. He started his career then as a young prison officer at the Old Ilorin Prison, Okekura.
“He has been officer incharge Kabba Prison, Officer incharge, Medium Security Custodial Centre, Ile Ife, Osun State. At a particular time, he was the Deputy Controller of Corrections incharge Human Resources at the Kwara Command Headquarters Office, Ilorin.
“Having attained the rank of a Controller of Corrections, he was transferred to Ekiti State Command as the Controller of Corrections in charge of the state command.
“The man Tolorunshagba Femi Emmanuel, is a committed, disciplined and a very dedicated officer. We wish him a happy stay and a successful tenure in office.”
