Construction of the Ilorin Emirate Multipurpose Pavilion has officially commenced with the formal handover of the project to the contractor by the pavilion’s steering committee.
The handover was carried out under the supervision of the committee chairman, Alhaji Abdullateef Gidado Alakawa, with the blessing of the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR.
The Emir endorsed the project and called on members of the public to support its successful execution, describing it as a development initiative of significant cultural value.
The multipurpose pavilion is designed to promote Ilorin Emirate’s heritage, boost tourism, and enhance socio-cultural development within the emirate and Kwara State at large.
The project is expected to serve as a central hub for cultural events, exhibitions and community engagements.
Details of the development were conveyed in a statement issued by the Media Officer to the Pavilion Steering Committee, Ibraheem Abdullateef.
