Abuja – Senator Bala Na’Allah has warned that the recent wave of defections into the All Progressives Congress (APC) does not automatically translate into electoral success. Speaking on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily, Na’Allah stressed that performance and public trust remain the key determinants in future elections.
While acknowledging that many defectors are influential political figures, the senator said, “It is not in all cases that defections determine the success of a political party… the APC still has to work and convince the people that it is working to position the country to a greater future.”
Na’Allah emphasized that the APC must continue to deliver good governance and earn Nigerians’ confidence, noting that the party’s founding vision was to correct what it saw as a flawed trajectory under the PDP.
He added that beyond defections, only tangible results and engagement with citizens can secure the party’s success in upcoming elections.
