Bukayo Saka has revealed that his favourite childhood song was the Nigerian hit “Oleku” by Ice Prince featuring Brymo.
The Arsenal winger made the disclosure during a recent conversation with British actor Daniel Kaluuya, describing the track as a standout from his early years.
“When I was young, my favorite Nigerian song is ‘Oleku’ by Ice Prince and Brymo. The song is a banger. Go listen to it,” Saka said.
Born to Nigerian parents in England, Saka has often spoken about his cultural roots and connection to Nigeria, despite representing England at international level.
The 24-year-old recently signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal, committing his future to the club until 2031. His previous deal had been set to expire in June 2027.
Saka posed for photographs with his British-Nigerian fiancée, Tolami Benson, and their dogs after signing the new agreement.
Although he opted to play for England instead of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Saka has maintained ties to his heritage and has previously undertaken philanthropic initiatives in Nigeria.
