US Submits 15-Point Peace Plan to Iran via Pakistan

Date:

The United States has reportedly presented a 15-point plan aimed at ending tensions with Iran Republic of Iran”], with Pakistan N12 reported that the draft plan includes commitments from Iran not to pursue nuclear weapons and to transfer its stockpile of enriched uranium to the International Atomic Energy Agency.

U.S. news outlet Axios, citing a source familiar with the matter, said that U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff informed former President Donald Trump that Iran had agreed on several key points, including relinquishing highly enriched uranium.

The New York Times noted that it remained unclear how Tehran would formally respond to the proposal, and Israel’s position on the plan also remained uncertain.

Trump, speaking on the negotiations, insisted that Iran is eager to reach an agreement. “We’re actually talking to the right people, and they want to make a deal so badly, you have no idea how badly they want to make a deal,” he said.

He added that Marco Rubio and Vice President JD Vance are involved in the ongoing discussions.

The outcome and timing of Iran’s formal response to the U.S. proposal are still awaited.
