The entire people of Ilorin gathered on Monday to observe a special prayer in honour of the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR.
The prayer, led by the Imam Imale of Ilorin Emirate, Alhaji Abdullahi Abdulhameed, followed the return from his annual vacation in Istanbul, Republic of Turkiye where he spent few weeks.
Both young and elders of Ilorin, traditional title holders, members of the Council of Ulama, associations and groups participated in the prayers.
Tagged; Grand Reception for the Emir, the Imam Imale noted that the prayer became necessary due to the joyous mood of the Indigenes and Residents of Ilorin and Kwara State at large.
