Omowunmi Aloba, widow of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has alleged that her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, wants a DNA test involving her son, Liam, to return a negative result.
She made the claim during a recent interview on Channels Television, where she spoke about the ongoing family dispute and the strained relationship between both families following Mohbad’s death.
Omowunmi said the conflict between her and her in-laws began before the singer’s passing, adding that disagreements over family matters, including Liam’s naming ceremony, contributed to the breakdown in relations.
She also alleged that after Mohbad’s death, discussions with her father-in-law centred on the late singer’s properties and royalties, rather than addressing her concerns at the time of grief.
The widow maintained that the situation has worsened over time and suggested that reconciliation may no longer be possible, as legal and paternity disputes surrounding Liam continue to generate public attention.
