PDP candidate, Dauda Dare floors Gov. Mutawalle to win in Zamfara

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Dauda Lawan Dare, has defeated the incumbent Governor of Zamfara State, in the 18th March 2023 governorship election in the state.

The Independent National Electoral Commission declared Lawan Dare as the governor-elect on Tuesday morning.

While Lawan Dare of PDP polled 377,726 votes, Matawalle of the All Progressives Congress who polled 311,976.
