Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has addressed rumours linking him romantically to actress and reality star Bamike Olawunmi-Adenibuyan, popularly known as Bambam, following their roles in a recent film. He dismissed claims that their on-screen collaboration had any off-screen implications.
Speaking in an interview with BBC Igbo, Arukwe explained that he was cautious during filming and had discussed boundaries with Bambam to ensure nothing would jeopardize her marriage. He stressed that all scenes involving physical contact were carefully coordinated with her consent.
“Before I touched her, I asked her if there was any way I could touch her that her husband wouldn’t like or that might cause problems at home,” Arukwe said, highlighting his respect for her marital boundaries.
The actor also refuted claims that they were intimate off-screen, noting that he had never met Bambam prior to the shoot. He emphasised that the rumours of dating or sleeping together were completely false.
Arukwe’s clarification comes amid growing social media speculation, with the actor urging the public to separate on-screen performances from personal lives. He reaffirmed that professionalism guided all interactions during the filming of the movie.
