Comedian and social media influencer Broda Shaggy was reportedly shot while filming a comedy skit at the Sango-Ota bridge in Lagos State. Details surrounding the incident remain unclear, but sources say his crew immediately rushed him to the hospital following the injury.
A police source, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that Broda Shaggy sustained a gunshot wound to his thigh during the skit. He was first taken to Blooming Care Hospital, where medical personnel administered initial treatment before he was referred to Duchess Hospital for further care.
The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that the hospital alerted the police after receiving Broda Shaggy. Police detectives and patrol teams were deployed to the facility, where they verified that the victim was a skit maker and social media content creator.
Investigations indicated that while the shooting occurred in Sango-Ota, the location is not within the Lagos police jurisdiction. The Ogun State Police Command stated that the incident had not been reported to authorities in their state, adding to uncertainties about the exact circumstances.
Attempts to reach Broda Shaggy’s manager, Olufemi Oguntamu (Penzaar), as well as the hospitals involved, were unsuccessful at the time of filing the report. Broda Shaggy remains under medical care at Duchess Hospital, recovering from the gunshot injury.
