I give all glory to Almighty God for the gift of life and for the grace to witness my 85th birthday anniversary on Saturday, 16th May 2026.
On behalf of my Olori, the royal family, the Obajisun-in-Council, and the entire people of Ayedun Kingdom, I extend my deepest appreciation to all distinguished dignitaries, friends, and well-wishers who honoured me with your presence, prayers, and goodwill.
I am profoundly grateful to the Executive Governor of Kwara State and Chairman Nigeria Governors Forum, His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON for support to our community and transformation of Kwara State in general.
My sincere appreciation goes to the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, for his fatherly blessing as well as the and the Ooni of Ile-Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II for his show of love always.
I equally appreciate my brother royal fathers who travelled far to celebrate with us and strengthen the bond of unity among our traditional institutions, they are; HRM Olomu of Omu-Aran, HRM Alofa of Iloffa, HRM Olojoku of Ojoku, Onigogo of Igogo-Ekiti, HRM Elekan of Ekan, HRM Elesie of Esie, and HRM Gbomoyin of Jimba Oja.
Other are; HRM Onimoji of Imoji, HRM Alaran of Arandun, HRM Edemarun of Kajola, HRM Elegosi of Egosi, and HRM Onirore of Irore alongside all other royal fathers from within and outside Kwara State. Your solidarity is a testament to the enduring strength of our heritage. Ayedun Kingdom remains indebted to you.
To our religious and community leaders, I appreciate the Christian Association of Nigeria leaders,the Chief Imam of Ayedun, and clergymen from across denominations who led prayers for long life, peace, and prosperity.
Your spiritual intercession remains the pillar of this throne. To the presidents of socio-cultural groups, community development associations, and market leaders, thank you for mobilizing our people in love.
To our sons and daughters from the business community, the academia, the bar and the bench, and those who came in from Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and those who reside in far away United Kingdom, United States, and Canada, I say thank you. Your generous donations, birthday gifts, and the endowment launched for the Ayedun Ultra-modern Palace Fund is well appreciated.
I commend the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) as well as the Federal Road Safety Corps,(FRSC) and other security agencies for ensuring a peaceful and orderly celebration.
To every son and daughter of Ayedun at home and abroad, the youth, women groups, and age grades who danced, sang, and gave glamour to the day, you are my greatest asset. Your love at 85 has renewed my strength to continue to serve with fairness, justice, and dedication.
The outpouring of goodwill messages, visits, and calls I have received since Saturday is overwhelming. I pray that as you honoured me, the Almighty will honour you. As you celebrated with me, may joy never cease in your homes.
May Ayedun Kingdom continue to grow in peace, unity, and progress. May Kwara State and Nigeria at large witness greater prosperity.
