Baboko Community Secondary School Inaugurates New National Executive Council

AUTHORITY of Baboko Community Secondary School, Ilorin has inaugurated a new National Executive Council with the Personal Assistant to Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Muritala Abdulraheem, as its President.

The event was held on Saturday on the premises of the school with full participation of the management and Alumni of the 44year-old school.

The event was also attended by the Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin, Dr. Usman Akanbi Jos, who is also a former teacher in the school before his advance studies and joining the service of the University of Ilorin.

Other members inaugurated at the event are;

– National Vice President I: Mrs. Asiat Ayobola Saidu

– National Vice President II: Mr. Lukman Abubakar Bala

– Treasurer I: Abdullahi Ahmed Adekunle

– Treasurer II: Mashood Kehinde

– Financial Secretary: Reuben Okediji

– PRO I: Mustapha Abdullahi

– PRO II: Bakare Wasiu Ayinla

– Welfare Officer I: Kudirat Aderemi Kareem

– Welfare Officer II: Shuaib Husseinat Kehinde

– Membership Officer: Abdulhakeem Olorunoje

– Assistant General Secretary: Prince Temitope Akolo

Speaking at the event, the chairman organizing committee, Mr. Sunday Louis Ugbena, said: “As we gather here today, we are reminded of the values that have always defined our alma mater: excellence, integrity, and service.

“We are proud of the achievements of our school and the impact that our alumni have made in various fields. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to upholding these values and to working together to promote the interests of our institution.”

Louis Ugbena further said, “This inauguration ceremony is not just a formal event; it is a celebration of our shared heritage and a testament to the enduring spirit of the BCSS family. We are proud to be part of this community, and we look forward to working together to achieve great things.”

In his remarks, the newly inaugurated National President, Dr. Muritala Raheem, expressed gratitude to the association for his appointment as their leader.

He said: “with profound gratitude and deep sense of responsibility that I stand before you today to accept the position of Protem Alumni National President of our beloved Baboko Community Secondary School. On behalf of myself and all newly inaugurated National Officers, I express our sincere appreciation for the trust and confidence you have placed in us.

The National President added that, “Baboko Community Secondary School has played a very important role in shaping us to who we are today. The values, knowledge, and experiences we gained within these walls have contributed immensely to our various successes in life. Now, it is our turn to give back and ensure that current and future generations of students benefit even more from this great school.

“As the protem leadership team, we are committed to three core objectives: First, we pledge to strengthen the bonds between alumni members across the nation. Our shared experiences create a natural foundation for networking and mutual support, which we intend to cultivate through regular meetings, events, and digital platforms.

“Second, we will focus on meaningful engagement with our alma mater. We understand the challenges facing education today, and we are determined to contribute our expertise, resources, and networks to support the school’s development goals.

“Third, we commit to establishing sustainable projects that will leave a lasting legacy. Through strategic planning and collaborative efforts, we will identify and implement initiatives that address critical needs while promoting academic excellence.”
