International Airlines Engage FAAN Over Operational Efficiency at Airports

Date:

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has met with members of the International Airlines Association of Nigeria to address operational challenges and improve passenger experience at airports across the country. The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between FAAN and international airline operators.

According to a statement issued by FAAN on Sunday, the interactive session was held at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos and was led by the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Henry Agbebire.

FAAN said the engagement provided an opportunity for both parties to discuss issues affecting airport operations, protocol services and customer satisfaction. Agbebire explained that the meeting was aimed at building a stronger working relationship with airline operators while also listening to the challenges facing them.

During the session, airline representatives raised concerns over inadequate signage around ongoing landside construction projects, insufficient lifts, shuttle bus difficulties and problems with airside ramp markings affected by ongoing construction works. The airlines also requested greater support to improve customer experience at the airports.

Responding to the concerns, Agbebire assured stakeholders that FAAN would review all complaints and observations raised during the meeting with the aim of improving service delivery and operational standards across Nigerian airports.
