Nigerian media personality GehGeh has criticised the response of Nigerian youths and security agencies to insecurity and governance challenges in the country. His comments were shared in a statement posted on his official page.
GehGeh compared the actions of citizens and authorities in South Africa with the situation in Nigeria, claiming that South Africans appeared more united and coordinated in confronting national issues.
According to him, South African citizens carried out collective actions with the backing of their government and police authorities. He suggested that security agencies in the country were supportive of the people’s actions.
The media personality, however, accused Nigerian security agencies of focusing on internet fraud suspects and social media-related issues instead of addressing broader national concerns, including insecurity and governance failures.
He also criticised Nigerian youths for what he described as their unwillingness to stand up against “evil politicians” and reclaim the country through collective action.
