The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, will today (Friday) pay sallah homage on the State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq CON, at the Government House, Ilorin.
The monarch had on Thursday toured the city of Ilorin, marking the 2023 Eid-El-Kabir festival and hosting mammoth crowd to the Ilorin Grand Durbar.
A statement issued by the Emir’s spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, on Friday disclosed that, “His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR would fulfill the tradition of paying sallah homage on the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, at the Government House.
“Alhaji Sulu-Gambari is expected to set out around 10am and to be accompanied by his traditional chiefs, clerics, tourists as well as sons and daughters of the Ilorin emirate.
“The visit will be followed by jumat prayer at the Ilorin Central Mosque to be led by the Imam Imale of Ilorin, Alhaji Abdullahi Abdulhamid.
“Residents of Ilorin are hereby urged to continue to show love to one another in fulfillment of the teachings of Allah and His noble prophet (PBUH).”
