A grassroot political mobilizer and former Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs in Kwara State, Hajia Aisha Ahman-Patigi has formally declared her intention to vie for Governorship race under the platform of All Progressives Congress APC.
Recall that Aisha Ahman-Patigi served during the first tenure of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq before she voluntarily resigned her appointment.
In her declaration speech, Hajia Ahman-Patigi said today (Sunday) is not just a declaration but a moment of destiny where courage meets purpose and where the voice of the people rises above fear.
She noted that she is not an aspirant but a daughter of Kwara, servant of the people and mother who understands what it means to carry the hopes of many.
The APC chieftain further pledged to build solutions that empower people through financial inclusion, education, and opportunity.
Aisha also aligned with the Renewed Hope vision of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a vision focused on economic growth, national development, and inclusive prosperity.
She acknowledged Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, whose efforts have laid important foundations for growth, stability, and governance.
“I promise Economic Empowerment, Job creation, Innovation, Agriculture Industrial Growth Energy Infrastructure inclusion for all if elected as the Governor of the state”, she added.
In his remark, Chairman of the occasion, and Former Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Mr. Benjamin Yisa explained that Hajia Ahman-Patigi is coming to play a significant role as the first female Governor in the state.
The ex-Speaker however said her intelligence and knowledge would be beneficial to the state and described her as a beautiful damsel with clean heart.
