In 2025, Eid al Fitr is expected to be celebrated on Sunday, March 30, 2025, in Saudi Arabia depending on the moon sighting.

In Saudi Arabia, the Supreme Court has encouraged citizens to observe the crescent moon on February 28, 2025. If sighted, Ramadan will begin the next day, March 1, 2025.
The same process will be followed in UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and other Gulf nations.

India, Pakistan & Bangladesh:

In South Asia, Ramadan 2025 is expected to start on the same evening as in the Gulf countries. The Markazi Chand Committee in India and similar committees in Pakistan and Bangladesh will look for the moon on February 28, 2025. If spotted, fasting will commence on March 1, 2025.

Russia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand:

In countries like Russia, Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand – the holy month is scheduled to begin on February 28, 2025; and stretches till the end of March.
