CHAN 2024:Nigeria set for Group D showdown with Sudan

Matchday Three of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) delivered drama and tight contests over the weekend, as teams continued their battle for progression in the tournament.

The competition — co-hosted by Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania — is being staged across five venues in four cities. Featuring 19 teams, the tournament began on 2 August and will conclude at the end of this month.

Saturday, 9 August 2025 – Group B

  • Central African Republic 0–1 Mauritania

  • Tanzania 2–1 Madagascar

Sunday, 10 August 2025 – Group A

  • Kenya 1–0 Morocco

  • Zambia 1–2 Angola
