COVID-19 vaccines: Emir of Ilorin speaks
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on Tuesday took a jab of the Oxford AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Spokesman to the Emir, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona. He confirmed that other members of the palace workers also took the vaccines.
According to the statement, ” His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, today took the COVID-19 vaccines at his ancient palace.
“This is in confirmation of the Emir’s support for the federal government’s campaign against the coronavirus pandemic in the country. The Emir also charged the people of Ilorin Emirate and beyond to cooperate with medical officers in order to achieve the purpose of curtailing the spread of the infection in the state and nation at large.”
