Former Nigerian dancehall artist Cynthia Morgan has stirred online debate after questioning music legend 2Baba’s recent public apology and accusing his wife, Natasha Osawuru, of allegedly coercing him into it.
In a series of Instagram stories, Morgan expressed concern for 2Baba, calling on fans to pray for him while suggesting the apology may not have been voluntary. The apology followed a recent interview that triggered reactions across social media platforms.
“You can’t purge a man like Tuface into monogamy overnight,” Morgan wrote, in what appeared to be a veiled criticism of Osawuru’s influence over the singer.
Morgan further questioned 2Baba’s religious stance and lifestyle choices, referencing his personal history. “At 49, with seven kids from three women, are we surprised he thinks he’s polygamous in nature? I’m not,” she added.
She ended her posts with a plea: “Pray for Tuface. Someone says he deserves it. Indiscipline truly brings shame. Proverbs 29 vs 15. Free Tubaba.”
2Baba, born Innocent Idibia, is one of Nigeria’s most respected musicians, known for hits like African Queen. His personal life has often been the subject of public interest, particularly his relationships and family dynamics.
Neither 2Baba nor Natasha Osawuru has responded publicly to Morgan’s remarks.
The comments have reignited conversations online about celebrity relationships, public pressure, and the balance between private choices and public perception.
