Denrele Edun Says He Has Been Unlucky in Love

Date:

Model and socialite Denrele Edun has revealed that he has faced challenges in romantic relationships, describing himself as unlucky in love.

In an interview on The Morayo Show, Edun said his partners often fail to match his commitment, prompting him to focus on self-love.

“I have not really been lucky with love. People like us who have so much love to give to the world, we don’t really get it back in return,” he said.

Edun explained that his generous nature makes him vulnerable, adding that he is “the easiest person to love” with a great capacity for affection.

“All my special attachments did not come out the way I would have loved it to. I have just realised that it is better I love myself,” he added.

He noted that the lack of reciprocation in his relationships is not his fault but stems from partners who fail to match his effort and commitment.

“Recently, I was in a relationship with someone and I realised that once I make effort, people give excuses. That is what is happening in my love life all the while,” Edun said.

He further explained that while he seeks clarity and commitment, some partners respond with confusion, making the relationship one-sided and unsustainable.

Edun emphasised that he continues to maintain hope for genuine connections but has prioritised self-respect and emotional wellbeing.

His candid reflections shed light on the difficulties of maintaining balanced relationships and underscore his current focus on self-love and personal growth.
