The King of Akoh Kingdom, Rivers State, His Royal Majesty Eze Ikegbidi has been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services, (DSS) over the gruesome murder of the Ahoada Divisional Police Officer, Bako Angbashim, by gunmen suspected to be cultists.

ROYAL NEWS reports that the DPO was killed and beheaded by the assailants on Friday night during an operation with his men in the area.

The arrest of Ikegbidi by the DSS operatives came on the heels of an indefinite suspension slammed on him by the State Governor, Siminilayi Fubara.

Recalled that Governor Fubara had in a statement, accused the monarch of “ceding control of his territory to the notorious David Gift popularly known as 2-Baba and his gang to freely operate and carry out their criminal activities.”
