Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) has officially received his All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination Form, purchased for him by the Ekiti State University (EKSU) Alumni Association Solidarity Group.
At a brief ceremony held at the Governor’s Office in Ado-Ekiti, the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye praised Oyebanji’s performance, describing him as a man of vision whose integrity and leadership have endeared him to both politicians and ordinary citizens.
Aribasoye noted that several groups attempted to purchase the forms on the governor’s behalf, calling it a testament to the value attached to his administration and the confidence people have in his leadership. He added that Oyebanji’s delivery in critical sectors has given him a clear edge in Ekiti politics, branding him a “marketable and sellable political product.”
The Speaker urged APC members to return to their wards and local units with a structured campaign to secure victory for the governor.
Responding, Oyebanji vowed to resist attempts by certain political gladiators to create a crisis within the APC, stressing that such moves do not serve the interest of peace and progress in Ekiti.
Meanwhile, Director-General of the EKSU Alumni Solidarity Group, Dipo Bamisaye, said the purchase of the form was a show of support for the governor’s “giant strides across all sectors” in the state.
