Despite losing an estimated $22 billion, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has maintained his position as the world’s richest person, according to the latest Forbes rankings.
Musk’s net worth currently stands at a staggering $817 billion, keeping him firmly ahead of other global billionaires. The fluctuation in his wealth is largely tied to market movements affecting his major companies, including Tesla and SpaceX.
Forbes noted that while significant losses are not uncommon among the ultra-wealthy due to stock market volatility, Musk’s vast holdings continue to secure his top spot on the global rich list. Other billionaires also experienced shifts in their fortunes, but none were enough to surpass Musk’s lead.
The latest rankings highlight the dynamic nature of global wealth, with tech-driven fortunes continuing to dominate the upper echelon.
