Emir commends Kwara youth group over maintenance Ilorin Central Mosque

The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari has commended the Kwara Youths Unity Forum for the routine maintenance of Ilorin Central
Mosque.

A statement by the National Coordinator of the Forum, Comrade Shafi Alada, on Thursday in Ilorin said the Emir made the commendation during a courtesy call by members of the Forum.
According to Alada, the royal father appreciated the forum for deeming it necessary in cleaning Ilorin Central Mosque before every Jum’at service, pointing out that the forum as one Muslims group in Ilorin emirate always make him proud.

The royal father appealed to other associations in the emirate to emulate Kwara youths unity forum and enjoined them to continue in that
direction.

Alada described the Emir of Ilorin’s tenure as the most peaceful in the history of the ancient town, adding that the emirate has witnessed
rapid development in all spheres of human endeavours.

He disclosed that the group made it mandatory to ensure that the mosque was always in clean condition at all the times, describing the
mosque as a monument and a pride to Muslims all over the world.

Alada eulogized the Emir’s fatherly role as the chairman of Council of Traditional rulers, commending the emir’s leadership style in piloting the affairs of the traditional institution in the state.

He said it was during the Emir’s tenure on the throne that many Ilorin Emirate’s sons and daughters were getting appointments at the federal level.

Alada said the recent appointment of six Ilorin sons and daughter was a testimony the Emir’s peaceful and purposeful reign.
