Emir of Ilorin felicitates with Etsu Nupe at 69

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has rejoiced with the Etsu Nupe and Chairman Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, as he marks his 69th birthday.

He also congratulate the monarch on his 18th coronation anniversary as the 13th Etsu Nupe Kingdom.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari stated this in a goodwill message issued by his Spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, on Monday praying for the monarch to withness more years of numerous accomplishments on the throne.

According to him, “I rejoice with the 13th Etsu Nupe, His Royal Highness, Etsu Yahaya Abubakar CFR on his 69th birthday and 18th coronation anniversaries respectively. He is such a loving, courageous and peaceful leader as well as a bridge-builder whose antecedents as a gallant Army General has prepared him for the exalted throne of Nupe Kingdom’s flagbearer of our generation.

“His contributions to the unity, peaceful coexistence and development of the society is reckoned with in the state, Nigeria and beyond. I pray to God to grant Etsu Yahaya Abubakar long life on the throne and divine wisdom to continue to pilot the affairs of his kingdom to the glory of God almighty and benefit of mankind.”

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari however appealed to the government and people of Niger State to continue to support the monarch in order to sustain the rich cultural heritage of Nupe Kingdom as well as achieve more growth and development for his subjects and humanity in general.
