Emir Sulu-Gambari commiserates with Jigawa govt. over Dutse monarch’s death

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has mourned over the demise of the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi, who died on Tuesday.

He described the deceased as a foremost traditional ruler with penchant of human growth and community development throughout his over 27years on the throne which made him “an Architect of the modern Dutse Emirate.”

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari stated this in a condolence message issued by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, on Wednesday. He expressed sadness over the unfortunate incidence.

He said: Inna lillahi Waina Ilaihi Rojihhun, I received the news of the demise of His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr) Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi II with great shock but with total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.

“The deceased was a forthright monarch who exhibited tolerance, commitments, dedication and love for his subjects and beyond in a bid to further attract growth and development to Dutse Emirate and Jigawa state in general by fostering peaceful co-existence among residence of the state.”

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari further stressed that, “I hereby extend the condolence of the entire members of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs to the immediate and extended family members of the late monarch, Dutse Emirate Council, government and people of Jigawa state over the great loss.”

The Emir therefore prayed Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and admit him into al-janatul firdaos.
