The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has congratulated Alhaji AbdulMumini AbdulMalik, on his re-appointment as National President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) for second term tenure.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari also rejoiced with other newly elected members of the National Executive Council of the union on their emergence to serve in various capacities.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Emir’s Press Secretary, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, stressing that, “I am overwhelmed by the peaceful conduct of the processes that produced the new excos.”
The Emir also expressed joy over the just concluded IEDPU’s 60th national conference, commissioning of IEDPU Hub as well as the induction of 25 eminent personalities into the Ilorin Emirate Hall of Fame.
He however confirmed that IEDPU has over the years remains a formidable socio-cultural union promoting unity, peace, growth and development in the Ilorin Emirate and among her Descendants in particular and inhabitants in general.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari therefore charged the new executive members to stand firmly with the re-appointed National President in order to achieve more for Ilorin Emirate.
