The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has commiserated with the people of Ilemona in Oyun Local Government Area over the demise of the Elemona of Ilemona, Oba Yusuf Omokanye Oyekanmi, who died on Saturday.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari described the late monarch as a peace loving traditional ruler who contributed immensely to the growth and development of humanity in all ramifications.
This is contained in a condolence message issued by the Emir’s spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, quoting Alhaji Sulu-Gambari as saying: “Inna lillahi waina ilaehi raji’un, although, his demise is painful but Oba Yusuf Omokanye lived a worthy and exemplary life filled with achievements.
“The entire members of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council hereby commiserate with the people of Ilemona community, the people of Oyun Local Government Area as well as government and good people of Kwara State over the great loss.”
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari therefore prayed for absolute comfort for the family members that late Oba Yusuf Omokanye left behind as well as the entire inhabitants of Ilemona community.
He prayed Allah to grant his absolute forgiveness, accept his good deeds and admit him into Al-janatul firdaos.
