Ex-Governor Jakande dies at 91
Late Lateef Jakande
First civilian governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande is dead.
ROYAL NEWS reports that the ex-Governor died on Thursday at the age of 91.
He was a journalist and became governor of from 1979 to 1983, and later was Minister of Works under the Gen Sanni Abacha military regime (1993–98).
