FIFA has released the full shortlist for the 2025 Puskás Award, which recognises the most outstanding goal scored between 11 August 2024 and 2 August 2025.
The award, named after legendary Hungarian forward Ferenc Puskás, honours exceptional displays of skill and creativity, from long-range strikes to audacious volleys and impossible angles.
In a statement on Thursday, FIFA said voting will again be divided evenly between global fans and a panel of FIFA Legends. Supporters can participate by registering on FIFA.com and ranking their top three goals, assigning five points for first place, three for second and one for third.
FIFA noted that this year’s shortlist, compiled in collaboration with international football stakeholders, reflects the tradition of celebrating moments of “mesmerising genius” that define the award.
The release of the Puskás shortlist comes as other major categories for The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025 open, including the Marta Award, Best Players, Best Coaches, and the FIFA Fan and Fair Play Awards.
