The Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has rejoiced with a veteran journalist and stateman, Alhaji Mohammed Tunde Akanbi, on his 65th birthday.
In a statement issued by his spokesman, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor commended Alhaji Akanbi’s appreciable blend of his media expertise and ethics with community service over the years, using his experience and network to promote public good.
Ajakaye said: “The Governor thanks the veteran journalist for his profound contributions to the media practice and his support and mentorship for younger journalists in the state, including through the National League of Veteran Journalists, which he currently chairs.
“He asks Allaah to give Alhaji Tunde Akanbi many years in good health and service to the people and the community.”
Similarly, the Director-General/CE of Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS), Ilorin, Comrade Issa Aremu also congratulates Alhaji Tunde Akanbi at 65.
He described him as a veteran journalist and prolific writer, saying: “You are not just a shinning example of zeal and commitment with tremendous passion for your career but also a great friend of the institute.
“Your hard work and dedication in the world of journalism makes the Institute very proud of you.
“While we pray for more successes in your new age, we hope your new age will be used in the service of God and humanity. Once again, Happy birthday. Congratulations.”
