Yobe State Governor, Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni, on Tuesday officially swore in a new Grand Khadi, five special advisers, a permanent member of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), and 13 permanent secretaries. The ceremony took place at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Damaturu and was attended by top government officials, traditional rulers, and other dignitaries.
Governor Buni expressed confidence in the competence and integrity of the appointees, describing them as “valuable assets to the government and people of Yobe State.” He emphasized that the appointments were based on merit, dedication, and loyalty, and urged them to discharge their duties with honesty, fairness, and impartiality.
“You have been entrusted with public office, and your performance will be closely monitored. You must demonstrate accountability, innovation, and professionalism to enhance service delivery in all sectors,” the Governor noted.
The newly sworn-in officials include Grand Khadi Abba Alhaji Mammadi, and special advisers Hon. Mohammed Bazam Maidoki, Mohd Ibrahim Jalo, Hajiya Saratu Sabo, Saleh Budde Sheriff, and Kulloma Umara Muhammed. The 13 new permanent secretaries are Abdu Shuaibu, Mai Dala Baleri Bularafa, Salamatu Yahaya Nangere, Bamai Zanna, Engr. Mai Modu Goniri, Bako Modu Kagu (Dejibe), Musa Garba, Abubakar Usman Kolere, Ibrahim Ali, Mohammed Annur, Abbas Isah Bizi, Mohammed Kalli, and Dr. Yusuf Idriss Madaki. Dr. Dauda Yahaya mni was also sworn in as a permanent member of SUBEB.
Governor Buni congratulated all appointees, urging them to justify the confidence placed in them by advancing good governance and improving the welfare of Yobe State residents.
