The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has comfirmed Princess Chichi Ojei as Allied People’s Movement presidential candidate for the 2023 elections.

According to the CEO Women Radio, Toun Okewale Sonaiya on Wednesday, she said, “It was brought to our attention that one of the participants referred to herself as presidential candidate of the Allied People’s Movement following a court judgement in May 2022.”

However, the position was clarified Mr. Festus Okoye, the INEC commissioner for information and voter education in a conversation with Women Radio, that Princess Ojei is the APM presidential candidate for the 2023 elections and that the commision was not aware of a court judgement.

Women Radio CEO further stressed thay, “Women Radio will only engage and support female candidates recognised and listed by INEC for the 2023 elections and not cases in court. We reiterate that the mandate of Women Radio WFM 91.7 is to promote and develop the causes of Nigerian women irrespective of social status.”
