Iran’s judiciary chief, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, on Monday called for no leniency or delays in issuing verdicts against individuals affiliated with Israel and the United States.

“We must not delay or show leniency in executing final verdicts against those who, during wartime and unrest, committed crimes and were affiliated with the aggressor enemy,” Ejei said, according to Tasnim News Agency.

He emphasized the need to “accelerate the review and resolution of cases involving elements accused of threatening public security.”

Local media report that Iranian authorities have recently conducted sweeping raids across the country, arresting hundreds suspected of cooperating with Israel and the United States.

The heightened judicial activity follows escalating regional tensions after Israel and the US launched strikes on Iran on February 28, killing its supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and triggering a broader conflict across the Middle East. Iran has since retaliated by targeting Israeli and US interests in the region.
