Jonathan’s Sister Dead: Governor Diri pays condolence visit

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, last night in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital paid a condolence visit to former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR, over the death of his elder sister, Madam Obebhatein Jonathan.

Accompanied by the Managing Director, Bayelsa State Electricity Company, Engr. Olice Kemenanabo, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Irorodamie Komonibo, PDP South South Zonal Legal Adviser, Alabh George Turnah and Hon. Gabriel Onyenwife, Governor Diri, urged the deceased families to take solace in God for the loss and prayed God to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

The Governor also visited the aged mother of the former President, Madam Eunice, to console her over the death of her daughter.

The former President, Dr. Jonathan was very appreciative of the visit and thanked Governor Diri for the show of love to their family at this time of grief.

Late Madam Obebhatein, fondly called Amissi, was a teacher, businesswoman and community leader, whose life of generosity impacted many people who came in contact with her.
