KAM Holding boss sympathises with NTA, NUJ over fire outbreak
Dr. Yusuf who is also the Chairman Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, (MAN) Kwara/Kogi Chapter stated this on Thursday when he paid a solidarity visit to the management of the station.
Represented by the Executive Director Corporate Services, Mr. Bola Awojobi and the Group Head- Human Resources, Mr. Akinkunle Akinpelu, the KAM Holding boss commiserated with the Minister for Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed and the entire leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) over the tragedy.
The industrialist who described NTA has a vital instrument of national unity and social integration urged the federal government to provide more supports for the establishment especially during this moment of trial in order to avoid professional setback for media sector.
His message: “NTA has not only stand out as a veritable media platform but it has over the years demonstrated commitments to the growth and development of businesses, promotion of cultural and social values as well as dispensing useful news items to households across the state. Efforts put in place by NTA especially in steming down the spread of COVID-19 in our society through various sensitization and awareness programmes/jingles for members of the public.
“We, at KAM Holding commiserate with you on the huge loss occasioned by the inferno. The level of the damage is highly regretable and disturbing. We shall continue to identify with you at all times as partners in the national projects.
“We call on governments at all levels to intensify efforts towards repositioning the establishment and support the management in order to boost their intellectual capacities even though, we in the private sector would continue to compliment your efforts where necessary.”
In his response, the General Manager, NTA Ilorin, Mr. Popoola thanked the KAM Holding boss for the visit and described the fire outbreak as surprising and catastrophic to the establishment.
