KAM Holding CEO: Searching for ‘Merit’ from Calabar to Ilorin

In a few moment, the authority of the prestigious University of Calabar, Cross Rivers State, South South, Nigeria would commence tours of the facilities of KAM Holding in Ilorin, Kwara state.

After thorough debates, consultations and cross-examination, the University finally settled for the choice of the Group Managing Director/CEO of KAM Holding worldwide, Dr. Kamoru Yusuf, to be conferred with honorary doctorate degree of the great citadel of learning.

Led by the 11th Vice Chancellor and first Chief Executive Officer of the University, Professor Florence Obi, the team arrived at the Corporate Headquarters of KAM Holding, Ilorin to deliver the Letter of Nomination to the indefatigable CEO, philanthropist par excellence and great industrialist of the gesture.

Other members of the team are; the University’s Registrar, Barr Gabriel Egbe, the University’s Bursar, Mrs. Atim Mensha Bursar, a distinguished member of the Cross Rivers State House of Assembly,  Rt. Hon Hilary Bisong and a great alumnus of the University, Mr. Rasheed Olanrewaju Zubair.

In her remarks, the Professor Obi commended the vision and passion of the KAM Holding CEO, as well as his outstanding contributions to the development the nation through, innovations, promotion of researches and technological advancements.

“We are here today to convey to you the decision of the University to honour you for your supports and passion to nation-building processes. I have read so much about you. You are a great Nigerian  an uncommon asset and a worthy Ambassador of our great nation.

“Although, Calabar is far from Kwara but your personality has made it so close to our heart. You have been carefully selected to be honoured during our forthcoming convocation ceremonies. University of Calabar is 46 years old now and we want your name to be solidly connected and registered as an alumnus of our great University.”

In his response, Dr. Yusuf thanked the authority of the University for the honour and recognition done to him and promised to live up to expectations at all times. He also congratulated the Prof. Obi over her appointment at the 11th VC of UNICAL and wished her success in office.
