Kidnapped PDP chairman regains freedom

Lagos state Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Philip Aivoji has been released from the den of Kidnappers.

The PDP publicity secretary for the state, Hakeem Amide confirmed this to TheWest Newspaper in a statement early on Monday morning.

Amode who said Aivoji spent a total of four days in the den of his abductors, appreciated the efforts of every stakeholder who has been involved in the release of the PDP chieftain.

“We use this opportunity to appreciate your prayers most importantly cos God’s mercies was visible all the way.

“Thank You All for your Concerns and Prayers” he said.

Aivoji was kidnapped alongside others last week on their way from the Southwest meeting of the PDP in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, around the Ogere area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
