The Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) has formally announced the death of its Controller,Adeyinka Adebayo Oyun, who died today (Saturday).

ROYAL NEWS reports that SC Adegbulugbe Philip Olumide, NCS Public Relations Officer, in a statement issued on Saturday confirmed that the deceased was in his office up till 6pm on Friday (yesterday).

According to him, “We regret to announce the sudden death of Controller Adeyinka Adebayo Oyun, who passed on to glory in the early hours of today, Saturday 25th of May 2024.

“Until his demise, he was the Controller of Correctional Service, Kwara State Command AA Oyun was in the office until 6:pm on Friday 24th of May 2024 .”

The statement added that, “His sudden death is a colossal loss to the entire staff of the Command. He was an active, dedicated, committed and a transparent leader.

“His Burial Arrangement will be announced later.”
