The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, in conjunction with the Federal Ministry of Police Affairs, has refuted a recent statement by the Police Service Commission (PSC) concerning the Academy’s admissions.
In a notice issued on Thursday, POLAC described the PSC’s 31st July 2025 disclaimer as “misleading and inaccurate.” The Academy emphasized that its application process for the 12th Regular Course Degree Programmes remains valid and ongoing.
“The application is being conducted in full compliance with the guidelines of the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Federal Ministry of Police Affairs,” the statement read.
The Academy further clarified that the PSC has no constitutional mandate over university admissions, rendering its intervention “legally baseless and misleading.”
POLAC urged prospective candidates and the general public to disregard the PSC’s announcement, reaffirming that its online application portal remains open as earlier publicized
