Nigerian varsity appoints Prof. Tella as acting VC

The Kaduna State University Governing Council approved the appointment of Prof. Yohanna Tella, as Acting Vice-Chancellor, VC, of ​​the University.

University Public Relations Officer Adamu Bargo said in a statement in Kaduna on Friday that Tella replaced Prof. Muhammad Tanko, whose five-year term has ended.

Mr. Bargo said that Mr. Tella, Professor of Mathematics and Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Administration, would act for a period of six months before a substantive VC was appointed.

“The 4th Governing Council of Kaduna State University, led by Mal. Hussaini Dikko, on January 20, appointed Prof. Yohanna Tella, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Administration, as Acting Vice Chancellor of KASU.

“He replaces Professor Muhammad Tanko, whose five-year term as Vice-Chancellor has ended,” Vargo said.
