Health experts have decried the 76% medication deficit funding needed for the elimination in Nigeria.

Speaking to journalists at a press briefing of Stop TB Partnership Nigeria in Abuja on Tuesday ahead of the Lagos TB Forum and the National TB Conference scheduled to hold from 14th-18th July, professor Lovett Lawson, who doubles as Chairman Zankli medical centre, and chairman Stop TB Partnership said over $310million is required to end tuberculosis (TB) disease in Nigeria.

According to him the government of Nigeria only account for 7% of fund in the treatment of TB in the country while fund from international donors accounts for the remaining chunk of the 24% fund available for the treatment of TB disease, hence the need for concerted efforts.
