(PHOTOS) Youth Initiative group honours Kwara-based journalist

A Kwara-based broadcaster and founder of Dabe Yi Baza, Fatimah Asabe Jiya (FAJ) was on Thursday presented with award of  honour by the leadership of the Youth initiative Peace Ambassador (YIPA).

ROYAL NEWS reports that the award was in recognition of her selfless services and immense contributions toward youth empowerment, welfare & wellbeing of students, community development, philanthropy, support for the less privilege and emancipation of the masses among others

Speaking during the presentation of the Award, at the Kwara NUJ Press Center in Ilorin, Fatimah Asabe Jiya (FAJ) expressed her profound appreciation to YIPA for finding her worthy of the honour and pledged to continue to do more for the development of the state and nation at large.

At the event, the Chairman, Kwara NUJ, Mallam Ahmed Lanre and the newly turbaned Shettima of Okuta Emirate in Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, both congratulated the awardee on the honour and charged her not to relent in her developmental strides.
