Pro-Continuity Group Backs Policy Stability, Engages Stakeholders in London

Date:

A pro-continuity group, Project Beyond 2027, has called for sustained reforms and policy consistency in Nigeria.

The group, which is campaigning for the consolidation of the administration’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, held a series of engagements in London alongside the President’s high-level diplomatic meetings.

Led by its Board of Trustees Chairman, Hon. Abiodun M. Yinusa, the delegation said its participation underscored ongoing efforts to mobilise support for the administration’s policies both domestically and within the diaspora.

Observers noted that the group’s presence highlights the growing importance of diaspora engagement in Nigeria’s political and economic landscape.

The London gathering brought together stakeholders from government, business, and the Nigerian diaspora, with discussions centred on strengthening international partnerships and sustaining ongoing reforms.

Among those in attendance were Seyi Tinubu, a patron of the initiative; Chair of APC UK Diaspora, Tunde Doherty; Minister of Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole; APC Volunteers Convener, Taiwo Ayedun (Shanana); and Chief Executive Officer of Softline Tech & Services Sweden, Kunle Ibrahim.

Project Beyond 2027 has, in recent months, emerged as one of several groups advocating continuity in governance, arguing that ongoing reforms require time and stability to achieve meaningful results.

The group stated that the administration’s policies have laid a foundation for economic restructuring, improved security, and national development. According to its leadership, sustaining these reforms into a second term would enable the country to fully realise their intended benefits.

A senior member of the group emphasised the need for consistency, stating:
“President Tinubu has demonstrated a willingness to address longstanding challenges. What is required now is policy continuity to allow these reforms to mature and translate into tangible gains for Nigerians.”

The group also called on political leaders, business stakeholders, and members of the diaspora to support ongoing reforms and align with its vision for sustained national development.
