Nigerian singer Ruger has publicly announced that he is open to a relationship, following pressure from his mother to find a serious partner.
The announcement was made via Snapchat on Monday evening, where the artist revealed that his mother has set a December 2025 deadline for him to introduce a partner or face having one chosen for him.
“My mama don give me December as a deadline. If I no bring one serious girl come house, she go arrange one for me,” Ruger wrote. “Ladies, pls send in application. If not, I will be on distress sale by December.”
The humorous yet candid post quickly gained attention online, with fans reacting to the singer’s open call for romantic interest.
This isn’t the first time Ruger has spoken about his relationship struggles. Earlier this year, he shared on X (formerly Twitter) that he finds it difficult to love like others do.
Ruger, best known for hits like Bounce and Dior, has kept much of his personal life private despite his growing fame in the Nigerian music scene.
His recent posts, however, suggest a more personal and relatable side of the artist as he navigates family expectations and public scrutiny.
There has been no official comment from Ruger’s team on whether the post was entirely serious or made in jest, but it has sparked a flurry of online reactions and messages from fans.
