Sacrifice, humility are fulcrum for peaceful and progressive society— Gbenga Power

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Chairman, Gbenga Power Foundation, Hon. Gbenga Power-Oyekunle, has urged Christians to emulate the virtues of sacrifice and humility of Jesus Christ in order to make the world a better place for all.
Power-Oyekunle described this as the fulcrum for a peaceful and progressive society, ROYAL NEWS reports.
In his Easter message signed on Sunday, the APC Chieftain said that the divine intervention of Jesus Christ to lay down his life for the salvation of the whole world is the hallmark of sacrifice, just as the way he washed the feet of his disciples connote humility.
He also stressed the need to extend helping hands to the vulnerable and other less privileged people in the spirit of the season so that the joy can go round.
Power-Oyekunle said: “Jesus Christ the Prince of Peace came into this world to preach the gospel of salvation, love, peace and kindness which got to its climax in Calvary where he was crucified leading to death and resurrection”.
“Another great thing to imbibe from Jesus is the washing of his Apostles feet, which is simply a sign of humility at its best”
“The messages from the two keywords of humility and sacrifice if taken as points of reference among the government and the governed will open a new down in the country’s political and economic arena”.
He therefore wished each and every one a wonderful, joyous, and memorable Easter celebrations.
