A Dangote trailer fully loaded with bags of cement had an head-on collision with a 18 passengers Toyota bus.
This vicious incident occurred in the early hours of today (Saturday), 12th March, 2022 at about 7:25hrs, at along Eyenkorin Ogbomosho Expressway, in Ilorin Kwara State.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Fire Service Spokesman in the state, Hassan Hakeem Adekunle, ROYAL NEWS reports.
He said: “The collision claimed twelve lives on the spot, and other remaining victims were rescued out alive from the accident.
“One of the survived victims told firemen that the Toyota bus took off from Lagos and they were heading to Sokoto State.
“However, we could not ascertain the actual cause of the incident.”
Therefore, The Director, Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, therefore urged drivers to be more careful with their driving styles especially when carrying passengers.
